Researchers Are Working On Brain Implants For People With Deafness Or Blindness




It Will Stimulate Specific Neurons With Tiny Electrodes.




Current research is working on implants that will let people that suffer from blindness or deafness, to receive sensory information with the links from the brain to computers. The object is to stimulate specific neurons with tiny electrodes that will allow restoring speech for deaf or mute people. Another project seeks to interface with the visual cortex, creating a picture in the case of people with impaired vision. More Information click here.
