Tinnitus is a constant sound, which might present itself as ringing, humming, hissing or clicking, among others, caused by a neurologic disorder. It can have a series of causes, such as hearing loss related to age, excessive noise, middle-ear obstruction, (like excess earwax), TMJ disorder, or neck trauma. Other causes are medications, head injury and blood pressure.
