Earbuds are the preferred listening device for teenagers and young adults. However, they increase the risk of hearing loss or tinnitus. These conditions occur with extended exposure to loud sounds. There is a new invention, consisting of an earbud connected to a smartphone app. The user programs the app how much time he listens to music each day, and will limit the music level during that time.
